1-Color Value Transfer
Recommended Heat Press Settings
- PW Customs Recommended Temperature Setting - 325-350° F
- PW Customs Recommended Pressure - 55-60 lbs (heavy pressure)
- PW Customs Recommended Press Time - 7 seconds
Instructions
- What to do First!
Prior to beginning, press empty pad for 3 cycles of 15 seconds. Failure to preheat pad will cause insufficient heat and will damage first 3 transfers.
- Load your Garment
Prior to pressing, open the bottom of the garment and slide it over the platen. Pressing one side of the item at a time will eliminate ghost images/bleed through. WARNING! If garment is laid on top of platen be sure to check for bleed through after pressing first garment.
- You've got to Pre-Press your Garment!
Press garment (with no transfer) for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
- Positioning is Key!
Place transfer in desired location, ink side down. DO NOT cover transfer with Teflon sheet. Do not place transfer on wrinkles, seams or creases in garment.
- Now to do some Pressing!
Close heat press and press for 7 seconds at 325-350° F
- Peel Transfer
Open heat press, and peel transfer hot with a smooth steady motion.
Having issue with your transfers on your press?
- Transfer NOT splitting evenly on garment.
Try one of the following: Increase Pressure; Increase Temperature Slightly; Peel Transfer immediately after opening press; Verify Platen has been pre-heated; Increase Time.
- Experiencing cracking after your wash test.
Increase your temperature to 350°F and apply heavier pressure. Also make sure your transfer is being applied to a smooth even surface. To ensure you have the right adjusted setting, repress the test shirt by covering with a non stick sheet and wash again. This should seal the current cracks and resolve the issue. Use these new settings for the remainder of your transfers.
- Transfer not adhering to a sweatshirt.
Since sweatshirts are thicker and contain more moisture, it is recommended to adjust your settings. Increase your temperature to 350°F and use heavy pressure. You may also find it helpful to use a perfect pad under the sweatshirt in the area where the transfer will be. This will allow large seams and pockets to not interfere with the smooth even surface needed for your transfer.
Washing Instructions
- Turn garment inside out. Follow care instructions on garment. Do not bleach. Do not iron.
